Admissions Policy

Chevin Academy CIC offers flexible, trauma-informed education to young people aged 16–25 who are unable to access mainstream education due to SEMH needs, anxiety, trauma, ASC, or other barriers.

Admissions Criteria

Aged 16–25
At risk of exclusion or NEET
Struggling with mainstream education
May have an EHCP (preferred, not essential)
Motivated to engage in small-group, vocational learning

Referral Process

Referrals are accepted from schools, colleges, local authorities, or directly from families. All referrals require completion of the Chevin Academy Referral Form and supporting documents.

Assessment and Offer

Following receipt of a referral, an initial meeting and assessment will be arranged. Places are offered based on the learner's needs and Chevin Academy's capacity to meet those needs.

Safeguarding

All applicants will be considered in line with Chevin Academy CIC's safeguarding policies and procedures.
